EFWA Announces 2023-2024 Scholarship Recipients

The Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting (EFWA) is excited to announce that it has selected its scholarship recipients for the 2023-2024 academic school year! The EFWA offers several undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate scholarships annually to women pursuing degrees in accounting, in order to help them attain their educational goals. The recipients and schools of choice have been notified 

Many qualified candidates applied, but the Scholarship Committee felt the recipients went above and beyond in their demonstration of academic excellence, and commitment to their studies. The Foundation awarded thirteen new scholarships and one renewal scholarship, for a combined total of $24,900.   

This year’s EFWA Scholarship recipients are: 

Laurels Scholarship: Rebekha Bokrand, Texas Tech University

Women in Need Scholarship: JeriDee Burnett, Western Governors University

Women in Need Scholarship Renewal: Desiree Taylor, Southern New Hampshire University 

IMA Undergraduate Scholarship: Holly Bacon, Colorado State University - Pueblo 

IMA Undergraduate Scholarship: Samantha Terrell, Western Governors University 

IMA Graduate Scholarship: Ying Yan Wong, University of Colorado - Denver 

American Dream Scholarship: Alyssa Rowden, Oakland Community College

American Dream Scholarship: Gabriela Baptista, Warren County Community College  

EFWA Undergraduate Scholarship: Diana Builes, Southern New Hampshire University  

EFWA Undergraduate Scholarship: Hannah Padilla, National University 

EFWA Undergraduate Scholarship: Cristal Berumen Alvarado, University of Colorado - Boulder  

EFWA Undergraduate Scholarship: Judith Ben, University of Texas at Dallas

EFWA Graduate Scholarship: Avery Unruh, University of Missouri - Kansas City
