MOSS ADAMS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

The Moss Adams Foundation awards a one-year scholarship in the amount of $1,000 annually, which is available to women enrolled in an accounting program at an accredited college or university. It was formerly known as the Rowling, Dold & Associates LLP Scholarship. The name change resulted from the merger of that firm with Moss Adams LLP.

Individuals eligible for this award will be:

  • Minority women, or
  • Women returning to school as current or reentry juniors or seniors, or
  • Women pursuing their fifth year requirement through either general studies or within a graduate program.
APPLICATION PROCESS
  • Complete page 1 of the application form and all attachments as outlined on page 2.
  • Applicants may be contacted to participate in a personal interview or conference call.
SELECTION CRITERIA
  • Commitment to the goal of pursuing a degree in accounting, including evidence of continued commitment after receiving the award
  • Aptitude for accounting and business
  • Clear evidence that the candidate has established goals and a plan for achieving those goals, both personal and professional
  • Financial need
  • Demonstration of how the scholarship will impact her life.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF RECIPIENTS
  • The scholarship recipient must provide proof of academic progress at the end of each semester or term.
  • The recipient must provide a written update for the committee at the end of her scholarship year on her progress toward her personal and professional goals, and the impact of the scholarship on her life.
  • Finally, the recipient should prepare for the possibility of appearances at regional and national accounting conferences where she might be asked to make a presentation.

Applications must be postmarked by April 30. Scholarship recipients will be selected by June 30.
