The Women In Transition and Women In Need scholarships were established to provide financial assistance to female reentry students who wish to pursue a degree in accounting.
These scholarships were designed for women who have become the sole source of support for themselves and their family, either through divorce or death of a spouse. However, women who are single parents as a result of other circumstances will also be considered.
The Women In Transition scholarship is available to incoming or current freshmen and women returning to school with a freshman status.
Note:This scholarship is not being offered in 2008.
The Women In Need scholarship is available to incoming, current, or reentry juniors.
The Foundation will award one Women In Transition scholarship (up to $16,000 over four years) and one Women In Need scholarship (up to $2,000 per year for two years) to deserving students who have satisfied the requirements for these awards.
Annual renewals of the awards are dependent upon successful completion of course work and may be requested for three additional years for Women In Transition and one additional year for Women In Need.
