The Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting (EFWA) annually awards scholarships to women who are pursuing accounting degrees. Whether you are pursuing an associate's degree, a bachelor's degree or an advanced degree, the Foundation has a scholarship designed for you.
These opportunities are developed to financially support, empower and encourage women pursuing a career in accounting.

Gerard 'Jerry' A. Swick, Age 82 of Park Ridge. Dear son to the late Arthur and Marcella Swick. Loving brother to Myra Swick. Cherished cousin to Marie (late Roger) Swiss, Thomas (Eva) Swiss, Nicole (Rick) Collins, Tim (Sarah) Swiss, Kateri Evans, Greg (Trisha) Swiss and Gregory T. Swiss. Dear friend of Marilyn Matusiak. Gerard was a CPA and JD and served as the president of the Educational Foundation for Women in Accounts between 1986-1987. He was also a member of ICPAS, AICPA, ABA and ISBA. A Visitation was held at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home on Sunday, June 25 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Mass Monday, June 26 at 10 a.m. at Mary Seat of Wisdom Church (Cumberland at Granville). Burial followed at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Swick Family Scholarship Fund Loyola University of Business Administration (820 N Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60611).

The Institute of Management Accountants and the Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting announced their annual scholarship recipients.
Three female students who are the primary source of support for themselves and their families received a scholarship for the 2023 edition. The winners were undergraduates Holly Bacon from Colorado State University-Pueblo and Samantha Terrell from Western Governors University, while the graduate recipient was Ying Yan Wong from the University of Colorado-Denver.

The recipients and schools of choice have been notified.

The Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting (EFWA) is accepting applications for our 2023 Scholarships as of January 5. Candidates may apply via our website and there is no application fee. Undergraduate and Graduate applicants must submit their applications in full by April 30th. Post-graduate candidates must submit their application in full by May 15th. Incomplete applications will not be considered. We encourage all applicants to review the scholarship FAQs on our site before they apply. You may email our office with follow-up questions. The most successful applicants tell us their story within their submissions. All documentation must be submitted online prior to the deadline.

For the sixth year in a row, Blane Ruschak, President of the KPMG US Foundation and the independent PhD Project, was the Charity Partner of the Charleston CFO Council annual dinner meeting and donated $5,000 dollars to the Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting (EFWA) in honor of the CFO Council.

The EFWA offers several undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate scholarships annually to women pursuing degrees in accounting, in order to help them attain their educational goals. The recipients have been notified, and the awarded amounts have been sent to the schools of their choice.

Continuing a long-standing tradition of contributing, the Charleston CFO Council and Upstate CFO Council supported the Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting (EFWA) with their generous contribution toward our scholarships. Their recent donation of $20,000 will go a long way in helping women achieve their academic goals in accounting. These leaders continue to inspire our scholarship applicants, and we are excited to celebrate their continued commitment to the EFWA.

The Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting (EFWA) would like to thank the volunteers who served on this year's scholarship selection committee and those who served on the leadership team working on fundraising efforts and coordinating and reviewing the applications. The Foundation received a record number of applications in 2021 and each was thoroughly reviewed and considered, taking countless hours.
